Tired of your t-shirts? Wish you had some different dresses? Save money by bringing along your unwanted (but wearable) clothes to our Swish and Style and go home with a new-to-you outfit, all for free!
It’s simple. Have a clear out and bring good quality clothes along to the Brewhouse in London Fields. For each item you bring, you get a token that you can exchange for another garment (maximum 10 items). Everything is free, everything is clean and everything will be re-worn and re-loved.
How it works
For the first hour, everyone is invited to drop off their clothes, shoes and accessories that they want to donate. Whilst we busily sort them into style and hang them on hangers, you’ll be free to check out the workshops – learning how to mend your clothes or upcycle them into something completely different – an old t-shirt becomes a bag or yarn for knitting, fabric scraps blossom into flowers and lonely socks morph into monsters.
During the final hour, you get to look through all the clothes and choose what you want. If you love it, take it. It’s first come, first served – but please only take items you’re sure you will wear.
What can you bring?
Anything that we deem unacceptable will be given back to you and you will not be given a token. We have the right to turn away any item.
This event is organised by Keep Britain Tidy on behalf of North London Waste Authorities and their Wise up to Waste campaign. It is free, accessible and open to everyone who lives or works in north London.
Please help us promote this among friends, family and colleagues. A clothes swap without clothes is just a little bit sad.
P.S. There is also free vegan cupcakes.
