Event Description

This is an invitation to all Sustainable Hackney members and supporters to come and hear the platform speakers and join in the debate on this crucial issue.

Racism appears on the rise but we cannot allow it to divide our communities and undermine opposition to austerity, cuts in public services and the fight for environmental and climate justice.

With a toxic and racist Brexit referendum followed by the election of Trump, a racist, misogynist, climate-change denier the need to organise opposition to racism, anti-semitism, islamophobia and anti refugee sentiments could not be greater.

The platform includes:

Diane Abbott, Hackney MP & shadow Home Secretary,

Weyman Bennett, Stand Up To Racism

Natalie Bennett Green Party (Invited)

Roger Mckenzie, Unison Assistant General Secretary

Muhbeen Hussain, Rotherham 12 campaign

Talha Ahmad, Muslim Council of Britain
